Blossom has been recognised by Florist & Wholesale Buyer magazine to be included in the Good Florist Guide, and was awarded a Silver Award for Excellence in the 2007 Flower Shop of the Year Competition run by the Flower Council of Holland. Blossom is one of only 55 florists in the UK, and the only flower shop in Manchester to have achieved such status.

 

Becky Hay is the owner and creative force behind Blossom. Since her very first job as a ‘Saturday girl’ in the local flower shop, her childhood ambition was to have her own shop. Before realising her dream, Becky trained and worked as a Landscape Architect which equipped her with excellent design skills and a wealth of horticultural knowledge.

 

In 2002 her passion for plants and flowers led her back to floristry which she studied at the Welsh College of Horticulture. Following this she gained a

position at top London florist 'Paula Pryke Flowers' where she was heavily involved with events, demonstrationsaround the UK, and the 'Paula Pryke Flower School'.

 

Becky moved to Chorlton in 2005 and set up Blossom with her friend Rachel Mashiter, who she met whilst working at Paula Pryke Flowers. Rachel decided to leave Blossom at the end of 2007 to start a family. Becky is now supported by a dedicated team of florists who share her passion for flowers and attention to detail.
